I remember after having Ace how impatient I was to get out of the hospital and get home - I quickly got tired of people poking and waking me and the baby when I wanted to sleep and things like that. So with Teddy, we were only there about a day and a half, and only one night. Looking back, I'm not sure which is better - because truthfully the time in the hospital is kind of like a nice pause with just you and your baby before going back home and being thrown into life again, no? Plus I don't think I quite had my fill of cranberry spritzers while I was there. Oh man, did that cranberry spritzer and those graham crackers taste SO good after 29ish hours of labor. Anyways.
So these are a few iPhone pics from our short-lived time in the hospital when Teddy was born. And yeah, upper left pic? That's just Kirk. In a nice little cozy bed the nurse made for him while I was in labor. We were at the hospital throughout the night before Teddy was born, and Kirk got tired so he went to sleep. Poor Kirk ;). And yeah, I was snapping phone pics between contractions (it was a weird labor).
< It's amazing how different they start to look after a few hours when they're not so swollen, huh?? :) >
^ready to go home! He fit in that outfit for about 5 minutes.
