ace's Blessing.

Thanks, again to my sister for taking these photos, even mid-migraine.  She's the best.

During my family's reunion, we blessed Ace at my parents' house on June 15th.  It was  a wonderful day and we are so grateful that almost all of both of our families could be there with us.  Thanks to those who traveled far to make it!  He looked very dapper in his little tuxedo.

I am reminded every day, and especially during Ace's blessing, how lucky I am to have this little boy.  I love him more than I could possibly express in words on this little blog.  I am eternally thanking my Heavenly Father that he is healthy and strong, not to mention happy and very good natured.  He has the sweetest spirit that I know was meant for me, and for our family.  He really is such a happy baby, and his smiles and little personality bring joy to everyone around him, but especially to Kirk and I.  In his four short months of life, he has changed our lives, and deepened our love for and testimony of the gospel.  I am so thankful that I get to be Ace's mom, that my husband holds and honors his priesthood, and that our family is sealed together for eternity.

I just love my little family.

surfing. what else?

Guess what Ace-man did the other day?

I mean, no one saw this coming, did they??
Kirk got this little wetsuit for me as a Christmas gift.  Secretly, it was really a gift for him.  He's been dying to put Ace in it since he's been born.  So when the opportunity arose the other day at Grandpa and Grandma Lindahl's pool, Ace got his first taste of the surfing life, wetsuit and all.

He's a natural, of course.  Paddling like a pro.

Ace had a blast, splashing in the water, hanging with his cute cousin Claire, and chomping on various pool toys.
Although, I'm not sure who had more fun, Ace-man or his very proud Dad.  You couldn't wipe that smile off Kirk's face if you tried.

week in photos

Whew!  It's been quite the week.
First - the pictures.
(Apologies to my instagram friends... these are old news.)
Celebrated my birthday eating this...

and playing this.

Celebrated the 4th at the beach like this...

and then like this.

Celebrated something else (big news!) eating here.

Played with naked Ace-man.

Then celebrated the wedding...

of this cute couple (Kirk's brother).

And yesterday Ace chilled with his second cousins.
Yeah, he's holding her hand.  Too cute.

The result of the photo booth at the wedding. Definitely some of our finer moments.

And now, the big news - we're staying in southern California for good!  Kirk's job has finally finally let us know that they're transferring him to a facility in Long Beach.  Which means we're here for the long haul.  Hooray!  Patience definitely paid off.

This also means, we're moving (again)!  Crossing our fingers that everything goes smoothly, we'll be moving even closer to the beach, and into a place with more space, around mid-August.  We are excited, to say the least.

Lastly, some obligatory cuteness.  More Ace pictures coming soon.

starting summer

It's been a while.  But we've been busy.
Probably because it's the best time of the year.  Summer!

Ace with his Crockett cousins.

We've spent lots of time with family and friends, enjoying the beautiful, not too hot (yet) So Cal weather.  (Wayyy better than last summer already).

A couple of weeks ago, my side of the family had a little family reunion at my parents house.  It was lots of fun and Ace got absolutely smothered with attention.  And he loved it.

We also blessed Ace during the reunion.  It was so fun to have all of our family there.  Post forthcoming, but I had to share this picture of when I tried on his outfit a few days before the blessing.  He was not too happy about it, as you can see.

He still looks cute, regardless.

Thankfully, he doesn't cry like this very often.  He is really a happy baby and for that I am extremely grateful.

And now, we're really looking forward to the weekend.  Celebrating a birthday (mine) and the 4th!  We'll happily be spending it at the beach.

Now, I've got to run after Ace, because I think he's rolled down the hallway by now.
