Beach Day

Last Saturday, after a long, hard week of work (uh...for Kirk, anyway), we headed down the street to the beach.

It was a long walk.  ;)

We (especially me) are glad the June gloom is over. 

Have I mentioned we love summer?  We love the beach, time spent with families and friends, surfing, bonfires, bike rides, the sun, the Lakers winning the championship, all of it.  (Alright, I guess Lakers isn't technically all summer long, but we still love it).

And I am grateful for such a hard working husband.  Kirk started work a couple weeks ago, and it is promising to be every bit as grueling as we thought.  

But for now, we are happy to spend Saturdays at the beach.  Or any day, really.
